Police Investigate Suspicious Incident On Orinda's Ivy Drive

The Orinda Police Department is investigating a suspicious incident reported Thursday, June 7, in the Ivy Drive neighborhood.

A man described as having black hair, a mustache and shortly trimmed beard and wearing a dark grey jacket, black pants and black shoes, was driving an older blue to green car on Ivy Drive. The suspect parked his car near a boy walking to school. He got out of the car and followed the boy. The boy walked to the nearest house for help. The suspect was observed in his car and driving away.

The Orinda Police Department is investigating this matter further and asks anyone with information to please call dispatch immediately at (925)284-5010 to report any suspicious activity or vehicle/suspect matching this description.

Parents are encouraged to talk with their children about this incident, and students, if unsupervised, are encouraged to walk to and from school in groups.
