Shortly after 7 a.m. Tuesday, two Lafayette police officers responded to a series of 9-1-1 calls and immediate hangups from 3425 Woodview Drive on a cul-de-sac by a forested ridge. The officers noticed several broken windows in the house and a resident came out of the house with a knife, police said.

The house is at a cul-de-sac on a forested ridge where wild turkeys wander along the road, not paying much attention to the handful of cars that come by.
