The Contra Costa County coroner's office has identified a pedestrian struck and killed by a truck Tuesday in Lafayette as Maria White, 78, of Pleasant Hill.
Police said White was hit in the area of El Nido Ranch and Upper Happy Valley roads around 1:15 p.m.
The driver of the truck involved in the collision was not injured and remained at the scene to cooperate with the police investigation.
No other information about the case was immediately available this morning.
