Orindans Asked To Watch for Missing Sonoma State Student
Walnut Creek police are asking Lamorindans to watch for a missing and possibly armed Sonoma State University student with family in the area.

Walnut Creek police are asking for the public's help in locating a Sonoma State University student who was last seen in Walnut Creek more than a week ago - and who has family in Orinda and ties to Walnut Creek.
Det. Greg Leonard said James Abriel, 19, was last seen April 21 in Walnut Creek when a friend reported that Abriel was troubled and possibly suicidal. It is believed that Abriel may be in possession of a handgun missing from a Walnut Creek residence, Leonard said.

Abriel is associated with a white, four-door Toyota Camry with license plate 4GYG766. He is described as a white male with blond hair and blue eyes and is 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 180 pounds.
