Orinda Police Log: Reckless Drivers, Loud Parties, Home Burglary

Some of the incidents that kept Orinda police officers busy this past week

Some of the items on the Orinda Police Department logs from Jan. 13 to Jan. 17.

Monday, Jan. 13

Auto theft: Police were informed at 5:57 a.m. that a car had been stolen from the 100 block of Spring Road.

Reckless driving: Officers were notified at 7:59 a.m. that a reckless driver was spotted on Moraga Way near Ardor Drive. Police were unable to locate the motorist.

More reckless: Another reckless driver was reported at 9:20 a.m. in the 60 block of Moraga Way.

Home burglary: Police were notified at 4:15 p.m. that a home had been burglarized in the 60 block of Lombardy Lane.

Tuesday, Jan. 14

Suspicious car: Officers were informed at 2:41 p.m. that a suspicious car had been seen in the 500 block of Dalewood Drive.

Wednesday, Jan. 15

Reckless driving: Police were notified at 2:31 p.m. that another reckless driver had been spotted at Camino Pablo and Miner Road. Officers were unable to locate the motorist.

Petty theft: Officers were informed at 7:12 p.m. that a petty theft had occurred in the 10 block of Camino Pablo.

Thursday, Jan. 16

DUI arrest: A motorist was arrested at 12:37 a.m. for driving under the influence at eastbound Highway 24 and St. Stephens Drive.

Loud party: Officers were dispatched at 10:53 p.m. for reports of a loud party in the 80 block of La Espiral. Police contacted the people who were responsible.

Friday, Jan. 17

Auto burglary: Police were notified at 8:50 a.m. that a car had been burglarized in the 400 block of Tahos Road.

Petty theft: Officers were informed at 3:40 p.m. that a petty theft had occurred in the 80 block of Davis Road.

Panhandling: Officers were dispatched at 5:43 p.m. for a complaint about a panhandler in the 10 block of Camino Sobrante. The person responsible was contacted.

Loud party: Police were dispatched at 10:50 p.m. to a report of a loud party in the 20 block of Lavina Court. Officers talked to the people responsible.
