Orinda Police Log: Petty Thefts, Stolen Cars, Home Burglary

Some of the incidents that kept Orinda police officers busy this past week

Here are some of the items listed on the Orinda Police Department logs from Dec. 22 to Dec. 28.

Sunday, Dec. 22

Petty theft: A petty theft was reported at 7:59 a.m. in the 100 block of Van Ripper Lane.

Vehicle theft: Officers were notified at 10:01 a.m. that a car had been stolen in the 300 block of Dalewood Drive.

Another petty theft: At 12:50 p.m., another petty theft was reported in the 70 block of Van Ripper Lane.

Residential burglary: At 1:08 p.m., a home burglary was reported on Wilder Boulevard.

Monday, Dec. 23

Grand theft: Police were notified at 10:02 a.m. that a grand theft had occurred in the 300 block of Dalewood Drive.

Petty theft: At 12:58 p.m., officers were informed of a petty theft that occurred in the 10 block of Via Corte.

Tuesday, Dec. 24

Battery: Officers were informed at 9:51 a.m. that a battery had occurred at the CVS store in Orinda.

Petty theft again: Police were notified at 12:52 p.m. of another petty theft in the 300 block of Dalewood Drive.

Wednesday, Dec. 25

Suspicious vehicle: At 8:27 p.m., a suspicious car was reported near Lombardi and Sleepy Hollow.

Thursday, Dec. 26

Vehicle theft: Officers were notified at 6:56 a.m. that a car had been stolen from the 100 block of Amber Valley Road.

Friday, Dec. 27

Drunk in public: At 2:04 a.m., police arrested a person for public drunkenness in the 1000 block of Upper Happy Valley Road.

Reckless driving: Officers were informed at 5:51 p.m. about a reckless driver near Camino Pablo and eastbound Highway 24.

Saturday, Dec. 28

Home burglary: At 3:17 p.m., a residential burglary was reported in the 30 block of Broad View Terrace.
