Orinda Police Log: Car Burglaries, Car Thefts, Petty Thefts

Sunday, Dec. 29

DUI arrest: A motorist was arrested at 12:36 a.m. at Camino Pablo and Ardilla for misdemeanor driving under the influence.

Reckless driving: Police were notified at 3:02 a.m. about a reckless driver near Wilder Boulevard and Highway 24. Officers were unable to locate the driver.

Panhandling: Officers were notified at 4:46 p.m. of a panhandler on Camino Pablo near the BART tracks. Police were unable to locate the individual.

Monday, Dec. 30

Vandalism: Police were notified at 9:12 a.m. of some vandalism in the 2300 block of Orinda Way.

Tuesday, Dec. 31

Petty theft: Officers were informed at 3:48 p.m. about a petty theft that occurred in the 10 block of Los Dedos Road.

Reckless driving: Police were notified at 7:23 p.m. about another reckless driver, this time at Glorietta Boulevard and Moraga Via. Officers were unable to locate the motorist.

Loud party: Officers were dispatched at 11:41 p.m. for reports of a loud party in the 80 block of El Toyonal. Those responsible were contacted.

Wednesday, Jan. 1

Property damage: Police were informed at 4:43 a.m. of a traffic collision that had caused property damage at Camino Pablo and Miner Road.

Thursday, Jan. 2

Vehicle burglaries: Officers were notified at 9:36 p.m. about an auto burglary that had occurred on Wilder Boulevard near eastbound Highway 24. Another car break-in was reported at the same location at 11:04 p.m.

Loitering: Police were informed at 11:12 p.m. about a person loitering near the Orinda Theatre. Officers were unable to locate the individual.

Friday, Jan. 3

Vehicle theft: Officers were notified at 5:03 a.m. of an auto theft that had occurred in the 100 block of Amber Valley Drive.

Petty theft: A petty theft was reported at 9:34 a.m. in the 40 block of Diablo View Drive.

Saturday, Jan. 4

Petty theft: Another petty theft was reported at 11:21 a.m in the 400 block of Dalewood Drive.
