Some of the incidents Orinda police have been involved in the past couple weeks
Orinda police reported they made two driving under the influence arrests in the past couple weeks as well as a warrant arrest for larceny and a warrant arrest for reckless driving.
Orinda officers also responded along with Moraga and Lafayette authorities to a report of shots fired in an open area behind a home. The suspect left the area before police arrived. The investigation continues.
Orinda officers also helped BART police evacuate the transit station after a train became stuck in the Berkeley Hills tunnel last week.
Authorities also reported an attempted home burglary in the 20 block of Honey Hill Road.
A petty theft incident was reported in the 500 block of Tahos Road.
Police Chief Scott Haggard attended a three-day Emergency Operations Center training session at St. Mary's College in Moraga.
Orinda officers also attended a training session on first aid, defensive tactics, racial profiling, ethics and driving.
