Orinda Police Activity & Notes

Orinda police have a couple pieces of advice for residents

Don't forget your home alarms.

That's the advice Orinda police are giving to city residents.

Police Chief Scott Haggard reported officers have noticed a trend of homeowners not setting their alarms. These security systems and simple things like closing your front gate can deter burglars, he said.

Orinda police reported two home burglaries last week -- one in the 200 block of Crescent Drive and one in the 60 block of Tara Road.

They reported no auto burglaries or stolen cars.

Officers did arrest two motorists for driving under the influence.
