North Main Street Chevron Robbed at Gunpoint

Police are looking for two suspects who demanded money while pointing a handgun at a cashier around 5:30 a.m. Monday.

The Chevron gas station on N. Main Street was robbed at gunpoint Monday morning, and Walnut Creek Police are seeking information from witnesses about the crime.

At 5:27 a.m., two men entered the gas station at 2329 N. Main Street and demanded money from the cashier, according to police. One of the men pulled out a handgun.

When Walnut Creek police officers arrived on scene, the suspects had already fled. Both suspects were last seen walking southbound on N. Main Street towards N. California Boulevard. A perimeter was set up and a police K-9 was used to track the suspects, but was unsuccessful.

The first suspect is described as a black male in his mid-20s , around 5’10” to 6’ tall, with a thin build and long black braided hair. He was last seen wearing a silver hooded sweatshirt, a blue or black dark mask, black/white gloves and black/white shoes. He was armed with a handgun.

The second suspect is also a black male in his mid-20s of similar height and built. During the incident, he was wearing blue hooded sweatshirt, black jacket, blue jeans and black gloves.

Hardened hip hop criminals from Pittsburg, Antioch, and Oakland come into Walnut Creek to take advantage of people's politeness and sense of fairness. I say lock them all up and throw away the key.
