Morning Commute Stalls In Lafayette — For the Second Straight Day

First responders and, apparently, some Good Samaritans are responding to an injury accident on westbound Highway 24 at the Lafayette BART station.

For the second straight day, and in virtually the same place, the morning commute stalled in Lafayette on Thursday after a single-vehicle accident brought the morning rush to a standstill.

Police and firefighters have reached the scene of the single car crash on westbound Highway 24 near the Lafayette BART station.

Several passersby apparently stopped their cars to help a person injured in the crash. Two lanes are blocked and traffic is backed up into Walnut Creek. The accident was reported at around 6:53 a.m.

An accident involving a delivery van on westbound Highway 24 closed two lanes of traffic and also impacted the morning commute on Wednesday.
