Update: Moraga Road Closed Monday and Tuesday for Road Repair

Moraga Rd is being closed between Sky High Drive and Old Jonas Hill Rd from 9AM – 5PM today (Monday) and tomorrow(Tuesday, June 25).    Some local residents will be allow to access homes but as a safety measure traffic is not being allowed through the construction area.   

According to Ron Lelfer of the Lafayette Public Works Department, the temporary closure will allows crews to perform some slope and road stabilization as well as safety trimming of vegetation, roadside litter pickup, and other minor repairs near Nephi Court.  

Today’s showers have not delayed the work and he doesn't think light showers tomorrow be an issue.   Should the rain be heavier than expected the remaining work will be rescheduled.

Commuters and thru traffic have been advised to take the detour into Moraga via St Mary’s Rd.
