Moraga Police Contact Solicitors; Detain One On Old Warrant
Lamorindans continue to be wary of door-to-door solicitors. One was detained Tuesday after a records search found an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
Moraga police were called to the area of Moraga Road and Via Granada Tuesday after neighbors reported there.
Officers found two subjects near Moraga Road and Campolindo Drive at 12:43 p.m. and stopped to talk with them. A records check found that one of the solicitors had an outstanding $5,000 misdemeanor warrant for his arrest and he was briefly detained before he was cite-released at the scene.
It was not immediately known what company the solicitors represented or what they were selling.
