Moraga PD: Hiking Trail and Baseball Field Parties

Other nefarious and criminal behavior is reflected in the Moraga police blotter from March 23 to March 25.

March 23
Egged on. A Wickham Drive resident told Moraga police officers someone threw raw eggs at her garage door between 4 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. She said it was the second egging in the last two weeks.

Loud music. Officers responded to a complaint of loud music on the baseball field of St. Mary's College at 10:40 a.m. An officer spoke with a subject in charge of volume control. "While on scene the officer did not hear any loud or unreasonable music," the report stated.

March 24
DUI. At 12:37 a.m., officers observed a vehicle on Moraga Way with headlights not working. The driver failed an in-field sobriety test and officers arrested for DUI and released him to a friend.

Registration long expired. At 10:41 p.m., officers stopped a maroon, 1997 Nissan Pathfinder on Rheem Boulevard near Fayhill Road for excessive speed. It was determined that the Pathfinder's registration had not been renewed since August. The driver was issued a citation for speeding and the Pathfinder was towed from the scene and stored under terms of California Vehicle Code for an expired registration over six months.

March 25
Trail party. Officers responded to a 3:55 p.m. report of party litter on the hiking trail off Ascot Drive. Officers and Public Works staff cleaned up bottles, lighter fluid, a table, a couch and two mattresses.
