Moraga Homeless Encampment Turns Out To Be Something Else Entirely

C'mon, kids, let's have a show! Moraga kids catch a break after mistaken impression.

Moraga police were sent to a home on Fieldbrook Place recently after a homeowner there spotted what looked to be a "homeless encampment" in the field behind the resident's home.

Police, perhaps thinking of a tie between the encampment and recent residential robberies in the area, had a look  and determined that neighborhood kids were using the open space behind the home as their fort and clubhouse.

The 87-year-old homeowner who phoned in the report of the "encampment" told police he did not wish to pursue charges and said the kids could continue to let their imaginations run free on the lot.
