Lafayette Police Seek Motorhead Sleuth

Police look for make and model hints in security photos of a car involved in a burglary in the neighborhood of Lafayette BART.

Lafayette police are seeking the public's help with a burglary in the area of the Lafayette BART station early Friday morning.

"The pictures are not the best, but my hope is that one of your readers is a motorhead and can help give us a start in trying to find the make/model of the vehicle," wrote Lafayette Police Chief Eric Christensen in an email.

The photos of the car involved in the burglary exiting the area came from a neighbor's video security system. Police believe the burglary occurred around 1:30 a.m. Friday, and a computer and a purse were stolen.
