Lafayette Police Log: Home Burglaries, Grand Thefts, Reckless Drivers

Some of the incidents that kept Lafayette police officers busy the first week of December

Here are some of the items from the Lafayette Police Department logs from Dec. 1 to Dec. 7

Sunday, Dec. 1

Drug arrest: At 12:14 a.m., a person was arrested at the South Main Street ramp on southbound Interstate 680 for possession of a controlled substance.

Auto burglary: At 7:46 a.m., a car burglary was reported at Moraga Road and St. Mary's Road.

Another auto burglary: At 4:28 p.m., another car burglary was reported at Lafayette Community Park.

Monday, Dec. 2

Petty theft: At 9:54 a.m., a petty theft was reported in the 10 block of Dollis Park Road.

Vandalism: At 2:21 p.m., some vandalism was reported in the 3600 block of Mt. Diablo Boulevard.

Tuesday, Dec. 3

Morning DUI: At 8:45 a.m., a person was arrested for driving under the influence at Mt. Diablo Boulevard and Oak Hill Road.

Safeway burglary: At 1:30 p.m., a commercial burglary was reported at the Safeway store in Lafayette.

Wednesday, Dec. 4

Home burglary: At 4:22 p.m., a home burglary was reported in the 800 block of Birdhaven Court.

Thursday, Dec. 5

Reckless driving: At 4:14 p.m., a reckless driver was reported near the Central Avenue ramps to Highway 24.

Friday, Dec. 6

Grand theft: At 10:27 a.m., a grand theft was reported in the 1000 block of Upper Happy Valley Road.

Residential burglary: At 12:37 p.m., a home burglary was reported in the 1200 block of Panorama Drive.

Another grand theft: At 2:27 p.m., another grand theft was reported in the 1000 block of Upper Happy Valley Road.

Saturday, Dec. 7

Vehicle theft: At 1:06 p.m., the theft of a car was reported in the 1100 block of Glen Road.

Reckless driving: At 7:23 p.m., a reckless driver was reported near Moraga Road and Moraga Boulevard.
