Lafayette Police Log: Auto Burglaries, Petty Thefts, Reckless Drivers

Some of the incidents that kept Lafayette police officers busy this past week

Some of the items on the Lafayette Police Department logs from Jan. 19 to Jan. 25.

Sunday, Jan. 19

Reckless driving: Police were notified at 3:13 p.m. that a reckless driver had been seen at Golden Gate Way and Mt. Diablo Boulevard. Officers were unable to locate the motorist.

Monday, Jan. 20

Auto burglary: Officers were informed at 9:47 a.m. that an auto burglary had occurred in the 3400 block of Monroe Avenue.

Petty theft: Police were informed at 11:42 a.m. that a petty theft had occurred in the 3300 block of Mt. Diablo Boulevard.

Property damage: Officers were notified at 2:28 p.m. that an accident that caused property damage had occurred at Brook Street and Dewing Avenue.

Tuesday, Jan. 21

Unwanted guest: Officers were dispatched at 12:11 p.m. for an unwanted guest in the 3500 block of Mt. Diablo Boulevard. Police contacted the person involved.

Wednesday, Jan. 22

Reckless driver: Police were notified at 2:12 p.m. that a reckless driver was seen at First Street and Deer Hill Road. Officers were unable to locate the motorist.

Auto burglary: Officers were informed at 2:20 p.m. that an auto burglary had occurred in the parking lot of the Oakwood Athletic Club.

Grand theft: Police were informed at 4:25 p.m. that a grand theft had occurred in the 3300 block of Deer Hill Road.

Thursday, Jan. 23

Drug arrest: A suspect was arrested at 7:50 a.m. in the 1000 block of Miller Drive for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Another auto burglary: Officers were notified at 3:14 p.m. that another auto burglary had occurred in the parking lot of the Oakwood Athletic Club.

Yet more auto burglaries: Police were notified at 6:38 p.m. that an auto burglary had occurred in the 4000 block of Mt. Diablo Boulevard. Another auto burglary was reported in the same block a half-hour later.

Friday, Jan. 24

Petty theft: Officers were informed at 5:38 p.m. that a petty theft had occurred in the 3200 block of Woodview Drive.

Saturday, Jan. 25

Panhandling: Police were dispatched at 12:24 p.m. to the Safeway store for a report of panhandling. Officers were unable to locate the person.

Reckless driver: Officers were informed at 8:17 p.m. that a reckless driver had been seen in the 3200 block of Sweet Drive. Police were unable to locate the motorist.
