Lafayette Cyclist Recovering From Alamo Collision

Anthony Low, a member of the Taleo Bicycle Racing Club, was seriously injured in a crash with a truck Friday. CHP investigators are still looking into the cause of the collision.

A 45-year-old Lafayette resident and member of the Taleo Racing Team is recuperating from major injuries Monday after a collision with a truck during a ride in Alamo late last week.

Anthony Low, a member of the Taleo bicycle racing team, suffered major head and chest injuries when he collided with a pickup and trailer attempting to make a turn from Danville Blvd. to Las Trampas Road in Alamo last Friday afternoon.

Low, who was wearing a helmet, suffered a punctured lung, fractured ribs, a dislocated shoulder and a severe head laceration in the accident.  The 28-year-old construction worker driving the truck and trailer stopped when he realized a collision had taken place.
