Hercules PD Names Suspects in Ko Murder

The married couple arrested in Washington State in Susie Ko's car are now official suspects in her Oct. 5 murder.

From Hercules Police Department:

"On October 10, 2012 two Hercules Police Detectives traveled to King County, Washington tointerview two persons of interest, in the Homicide of Susie Ko, and theft of her 2011 Subaru OutBack.

Both crimes occurred on October 5, 2012. The Detectives have interviewed the subjects and reviewed the items recovered from Mrs. Ko's stolen vehicle. Hercules Police now believes Darnell and Tania Washington to be suspects in the Ko Homicide case.

The case will be presented to the Contra Costa District Attorney’s Office, late next week, for murder and auto theft charges.

Both suspects are currently being held in King County, Washington on Los Angeles County warrants, and King County assault charges."

Thank God they are off the street. The Hercules crime is a "Death penalty" case in California. The girl IF lucky will only get life. Her partner will get lethal injection. Now what about the friends/relatives who hid these fugitives in Hercules? They are amongst us at Shell, Starbucks, Luckys and Taco Bell :(

Still so many unanswered questions. For one, where is the car these two murderers drove from So. California to Hercules?

I agree, Louise. Why Hercules and why Susie Ko?

Also, how does it work when people face multiple charges from multiple locations? Seems like he's accused of jailbreak, attempted murder of a police officer, murder, carjacking, and whatever charges come in Washington from ramming police cars and evading arrest. Do they stand trial in multiple places for the various charges?

It's possible the suspects may be tried for the crimes committed in other jurisdictions courts. The capital case will probably hold precedent.I think there will be further developments in Hercules.
