Fire Crews Contain Structure Fire in Orinda

Firefighters in Orinda knocked down a fire at a home Saturday morning, a division chief said. Crews responded to a report of a structure fire in the Orinda Woods area at about 4 a.m., Moraga-Orinda fire Division Chief Darrell Lee said. When crews arrived, they found the attic engulfed in flames, Lee said. Three residents at the home were able to escape the home without injury, according to Lee. Lee said the fire was confined to the attic and garage, and was contained at about 4:35 a.m. No injuries were reported and the cause is unknown. It remains under investigation, Lee said.
