Fire Chief's House Catches Fire

It was a small electrical fire and was put out quickly.

San Ramon Valley Fire Chief Richard Price's home caught fire on Tuesday just before noon.

Price lives on the 4200 block of Blackhawk Meadow Court in Blackhawk.

It was a small fire that was put out quickly, the Contra Costa Times reported.

The cause appears to be electrical.

"Just a small electrical fire in a light fixture. Electrician was on site. All is well," Price wrote to Danville Patch in an email.

TP & Jen Get a life!..............read the article, "just a small electrical fire in a light fixture, the electrician was on site...............that stuff happens all the time , apparently the circuit was still live when the electrician was looking at the fixture ............a couple of sparks and it's out.......... that's a little bit of a reach from your post " fire chiefs home catches fire" ............since the little spark inside the electrical fixture never caused a reported call to the SRFD the only reason this became news is someone mentioned it to the media. NOT REALLY NEWS.

Terry, It is news. It's still a fire. It did get reported to SRVFPD at 9:09am on Tuesday, A full first alarm was sent to the 4200 block on Blackhawk Meadow Ct. The sprinkler extinguished the fire with the balance being cancelled. An Engine and Truck remained on-scene for nearly 2 and a half hours cutting away where the fire occured making sure it was out.. I think people would of wanted to know what was happening on there street. If you don't feel it's important, Please don't make a rude comment. Email them personally!
