Wagner Ranch school officials sent the following advisory to parents Friday:
"The Orinda Police Department reported the following information to us this afternoon:
On Wednesday a 15 year old girl was walking her dog at approximately 7:50 pm and a vehicle pulled up and asked her where she was going? She told him "Home" and he then told her to get in his vehicle. She told him "No", he yelled again at her to get in.
The suspect was described as a black male with long dread locks, no further information for subject or vehicle is available at this time.
The incident happened on El Toyonal between Vallecito Lane and La Encinal. There was not a nexus to school activity. The girl was not walking to or from school or leaving a school function. Orinda PD will keep school staff informed as we proceed."
