A report of a suspicious truck parked on Ross Dr. turned out to belong to a painter who was working in the neighborhood.

A Larch Ave. resident reported that a lottery scam outfit was calling her mother, and she wanted the information on the record and the calls blocked.

A teacher was painting her classroom on Canyon Rd. (and God bless the teachers) late at night when she heard a door slam somewhere on campus, where no one else should have been. She called police and got an escort to her car.

A woman on Donald Dr. reported that a friend of hers had come over and she went out to get pizza. When she came back, the friend was gone and so was about $3,000 worth of her things. She did not know where the man lived, or what his last name was, and he didn’t answer his phone when she called. Police are investigating.

A woman on Ascot Dr. reported that someone stole the purse from her unlocked car and got away with about $600 worth of items, including credit cards and other goods. She cancelled the cards before they could be used.

A School St. resident reported a man in her backyard, who ran off when she saw him. Police did an extensive search of the area and found no one matching his description.

A home on Wadel Dr. was broken into while the owners were out, and things were moved around, but nothing was taken. Footprints were found on both sides of the house.

A driver on Moraga Rd. passed several cars that were stopped to let a father and child cross the street. The driver nearly hit the pedestrians, but swerved at the last minute. Police contacted the driver, who said he was looking the other way when he left a parking lot, and didn’t see the pedestrians. He said he would be more observant in the future.
