A man and a woman were arrested earlier this month in a parking lot after police determined they had agreed to sex for money via social media.

According to police, an Orinda officer was driving by Beverages and More on Camino Pablo around 12:45 a.m. on Aug. 15, when he was flagged down by a man in the parking lot. The man said that the woman he was with wanted money for sex.

"During the officer's investigation, it was determined that both had agreed to have sex for money via social media," police said.

Both were issued citations and released.
