Con Men Continue to Bilk Lamorinda Seniors

Despite attempts to educate our senior citizens, it appears that Canadian con men are continuing to defraud the elderly

Editor's Note: Folks, I have no more words. We've , and as recently as last week. The following is from the Moraga police department. It shouldn't be happening but it is:

"The Moraga Police Department has responded to two separate fraud reports during the last week. Citizens reported receiving a telephone call from an unknown male caller in Canada, claiming to be an attorney. The caller told the residents their grandchild was involved in an automobile accident, and requested residents to send money to an address in Canada, to cover vehicle damage. Both calls were fraudulent, and both targeted elderly citizens in our community. Citizens should be suspicious of these types of calls, and should report these incidents to their local police department."
