Woman Injured During Bike Rally Accident In Canyon
Patch is receiving reports that at least one person has been injured during a bicycle event at Pinehurst and Canyon roads in Canyon.
A woman bicyclist was taken to Highland Hospital in Oakland after she was injured in a fall during a bicycle race at Pinehurst and Canyon roads in Canyon Saturday.
The California Highway Patrol and an ambulance were dispatched to that location after the mishap was reported at 9:10 a.m., according to the CHP.
Initial reports that a vehicle was somehow involved have proven false. The extent of the victim's injuries could not be immediately determined and the accident is under investigation at this time.
