Orinda Intermediate School Student Approached By Man, Advisory Issued

School officials issue an advisory to parents after a man approaches a student Thursday.

Orinda Intermediate School officials sent an advisory to the parents of students Friday after a man approached an OIS student as he was walking home from a bus stop in Castlegate.

School officials said the incident was reported at roughly 3:45 p.m. Thursday when the student was on his way home from the bus stop at Stein Way and Oak Road. The student told officials a man in his 20s with two dogs got out of a small, black car and approached him, asking if the boy wanted to play with the dogs.

The student told the man he did not want to and ran off.
