Caught On Camera: Thief At Work In Rheem Valley Manor
If you ever wonder about those noises outside your home in the wee hours - wonder no more. On Saturday morning at least it was a thief at work.
Folks living in Rheem Valley Manor may want to check their front porches and yards Saturday as a thief was at work last night - and he didn't seem to care much about getting caught.
Neighborhood security cameras caught the thief driving on the wrong side of Fernwood Drive at 5:50 a.m. Saturday, casually scoping out neighborhood homes for things to steal.
In at least one case he parked his car (description to follow) directly in front of the residence and spent several minutes rummaging around the front yard - eventually making off with two potted plants!

This guy deliberately cruised Fernwood on the wrong side of the street, picking off whatever he needed during brief forays into residents' yards.
Lamorinda Patch has seen tape of at least one theft and would like to know if others were victimized, as well.
