By Bay City News

Westbound traffic around the Caldecott Tunnel is even slower than usual this morning after a three-car crash shut down one of the tunnel's bores, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision was reported on state Highway 24 near the westbound entrance to the tunnel around 7:50 a.m., according to the CHP.

A Sig-alert was issued for the area at 8:08 a.m.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and take alternate routes if possible.
