Burglary Interrupted in Unincorporated Lafayette
Updated: Two suspects in custody in Tuesday afternoon incident, police say.
Update, 8:35 a.m. Thursday, one suspect named.
A resident came home at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday to La Playa Court in the unincorporated area along the Lafayette-Pleasant Hill border and saw two burglars fleeing from the back of his house, police said.
Lafayette police, Pleasant Hill police and sheriff's officers responded and set up a perimeter for the suspects in an area just east of Taylor Boulevard. A police canine unit was employed.
One suspect was found at about 2:50 p.m. on a hillside, Contra Costa Sheriff's Office spokesman Jimmy Lee said. The second suspect was located near Taylor Boulevard at 3:36 p.m. Most of the stolen items were recovered, Lee said.

Both were arrested on charges of burglary and conspiracy, Lee said:
Sean James, 20, of Walnut Creek, booked into county jail on bail of $100,000.

A 17-year-old male was booked into juvenile hall.
