Rossmoor Brush Fire Contained
Update: The Monday morning blaze was on two acres of a steep slope close to the Stanley Dollar Clubhouse.
Updated, 5 p.m. Monday, the fire was contained at about 10 a.m. Monday after it had charred about two acres, ConFire reported.

A one-alarm vegetation fire is burning near the community of Rossmoor Monday morning, a Contra Costa County Fire Protection District dispatcher said.

The fire was reported at 9:05 a.m. near the Stanley Dollar Clubhouse on Stanley Dollar Drive, according to the dispatcher.
Around 9:45 a.m., the fire was still burning and had spread to 2 acres. No structures are threatened. However, the dispatcher said the fire is burning on a steep slope and is difficult for crews to reach. Rossmoor is a gated senior community in Walnut Creek.
