Big Rig Fire on Westbound 24 Causing Major Delays

Commuters are experiencing major delays this morning as a big rig carrying new cars caught on fire around 4:50 a.m. on westbound Highway 24 east of central Lafayette, according to KRON Channel 4.

Two lanes are blocked. No injuries were reported. 

Commuters may want to wait a little longer to leave for work, or consider alternate transportation plans, such as BART, to get to their destination.
