BART Trains Delayed After Person Falls On Orinda Tracks

The incident happened about 7:15 a.m. No word on how the person fell.

BART trains were delayed on the Pittsburg/Bay Point line Friday morning after a person fell onto the tracks at the Orinda station, an agency dispatcher said.

The incident was reported around 7:15 a.m., the dispatcher said.

The person was taken from the tracks, but the incident caused delays of 15 to 20 minutes in both the San Francisco and East Bay directions, the dispatcher said.

He did not immediately have information about any injuries to the person who fell on the tracks.
