Area police have been attempting to put a stop to a regular string of brazen, daylight burglaries in recent months, . In those instances carloads of individuals have been driving to local homes, often in proximity to Highway 24, going to the front door of the residence and knocking to determine if anyone is at home. If not, the burglars are either kicking in the front door of the residence or going around the back to enter at the rear.

It is not immediately known if the trio taken into custody Monday were tied to any of those crimes.
