UPDATE: Acalanes Locked Down for 3 Hours; 'Threat' Suspect Located Off-Campus; Police Issue Brief Statement
UPDATED Friday, June 6, 9:25 p.m.:
Brief statement issued by Lafayette Police Department:
"This morning just before 10 o’clock, Acalanes High School in Lafayette notified the Lafayette Police Department about a possible threat to the safety of the high school and that they were going to lock down.
Lafayette Police Officers responded to the school and immediately launched an investigation into the threat.
Officers conducted several protective sweeps of the school grounds;nothing suspicious was located.
The school lifted the lock down at about 1 p.m. School activities returned to normal.
Lafayette Police Officers this afternoon detained a student for further investigation into the possible threat."

Bulletin from the Lafayette Police Department at 12:52 p.m.
"Earlier today police received a perceived threat to Acalanes High School.
Police secured the school, searched the campus and detained a subject off campus. The subject was not on or near the campus.
The School lockdown has been lifted."
