Reed Austin Whittaker will be remembered at the service at Moraga Valley Presbyterian Church

A Campolindo High School graduate who was killed in a drunken driving crash will be remembered at a memorial service this weekend.

The remembrance for Reed Austin Whittaker begins at 2 p.m. Saturday at Moraga Valley Presbyterian Church, 10 Moraga Valley Lane.

Whittaker, 29, was killed on Dec. 12 when his Jeep Cherokee was hit from behind while he was driving on Interstate 580 near Livermore. Authorities say the driver of the other car was drunk at the time.

Whittaker was a 2003 Campolindo High and an Eagle Scout with Boy Scout Troop 212. He was also a graduate of U.C. Santa Barbara and a staff member of Cal's "Lair of the Bear" camp.

Whittaker worked as an emergency room technician at Highland Hospital in Oakland.
