Lamorinda Death Notices

Some of the people with ties to Lafayette, Moraga and Orinda who have passed away recently

Arlene Futch, a resident of Lafayette, was born in San Francisco. She attended San Francisco City College and was a stewardess for TWA. She raised her family in Lafayette and was a volunteer at Springhill Elementary School. She and her husband operated International Contract Furnishers. Futch died on Dec. 18 at the age of 75.

Myron Kochan, a resident of Moraga, was born in Ukraine. He served in the Ukrainian army during World War II and then moved to the United States after the war.  He eventually bought Manufacturing Corporation and served as president. Kochan died on Dec. 12 at the age of 86.

Patricia Valerie McDonald, 
a resident of Moraga, was born in England. She graduated from Talbot Heath School and attended secretarial school. She lived in London and Geneva before emigrating to the United States, landing in San Francisco in 1966. She moved to Moraga in 1969. McDonald died on Dec. 16 at the age of 87.

Robert George Rollin, a resident of Lafayette, was born in Petaluma. He served as a merchant marine and with the Army Transportation Corps in World War II. He worked in sales after the war and formed his own company, Rollin and Associates in 1954. Rollin died on Nov. 22 at the age of 92.
