Lamorinda Death Notices

Some of the people with ties to Lafayette, Moraga and Orinda who have passed away recently

Robert Richard Williams, a resident of Lafayette, was born in Chicago. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He earned a degree in engineering from the University of Illinois. He had a long career with Chevron. Williams died on Jan. 18 at the age of 83.

John M. Trowbridge, a resident of Moraga, was born in New Jersey. He served in the U.S. Army and earned an engineering degree at UCLA. He worked as an engineering and then became a business partner with the Regional Sales Company, working as a manufacturer's representative throughout the western United States. He lived in San Diego from 1978 to 2012 before moving to Moraga. Trowbridge died on Jan. 6 at the age of 81.

Elizabeth Fitzenz, a resident of San Jose, grew up in Orinda. She attended elementary school in Orinda and graduated from Acalanes High School. Fitzenz volunteered with non-profit organizations, including Meals on Wheels. Fitzenz died on Jan. 14 at the age of 78.
