Lamorinda Death Notices

Some of the people with ties to Lafayette, Moraga and Orinda who passed away recently

Aldo Guidotti, a resident of Napa, was a councilman on the first Orinda City Council. He served on the council from 1985 to 1996. He also practiced law for 69 years. He had a law office in Orinda for decades. Guidotti was born in Orland, California. He moved his family to Orinda in 1958. He also served as president of the Orinda Chamber of Commerce. Guidotti died Oct. 8 at the age of 93.

Robert "Bob" Gaudy, 
a resident of Lafayette, was born in Michigan. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II. He earned a degree from U. C. Berkeley and settled in Contra Costa County in 1967. He worked as an architect and announced football games at Alhambra High School in Martinez. Gaudy died on Oct. 8 at the age of 90.

Frances Kyle, a resident of Lafayette, was born in San Francisco. She was a nursing school student when she met and married Jerry Kyle of Oakland. They were married for 64 years. She loved card games, water skiing, the beach, tennis and golf. Kyle died on Oct. 1 at the age of 86.

Douglas McLeod, a resident of Moraga, was born in North Dakota. He earned an engineering degree from the University of Washington and a master's degree from Stanford. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II. He worked as a civil engineer and eventually moved to the Bay Area to work for PG&E. McLeod died on Oct. 9 at the age of 88.
