Coffee To the Rescue! Or, How to Survive the End of the Year Madness!

Some people have wine or a beer at 5 p.m.  If, like me, you have kids... you know that a cocktail at that hour would be a rare event.  Not to mention illegal, since you're probably driving one or 3 of them somewhere.  The moms I know, myself included, drink coffee. Actually, at this time of year, I drink this around 3 p.m.  Oh, who am I kidding ~ I drink this all day. Iced coffee with a little milk and sugar.  

I drink coffee all day because THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR IS CRAZY! I am constantly double checking the calendar and making sure, in general, that I am where I am supposed to be!  Open house; teacher gifts; school concerts; art fairs; room parent gifts; school parties; practices, practices, practices....aahh!  Just getting these things on the calendar is a feat; let alone getting to them!  Coffee to the rescue! The milk and sugar containers are from a doll house set from Ikea that I stole from the girls... here are some other cute coffee accessories for normal people who don't use their kid's playhouse things.

Too fancy for you? I figure you might as well make it special, goodness knows you are going to spill it on your shirt any minute.  (I speak from experience here). My favorite coffee is jamaican blue mountain, because it reminds me of my honeymoon; but I think you can only really appreciate it in Jamaica.  My second favorite is: Blue Bottle Coffee.  You can order some here, or go to Paxti's in Lafayette and sit in their cute little alley and drink it with a friend! My motto for the end of the school year madness: keep calm and drink coffee.
