What a fun event Saturday at Bonfire Pizza in Orinda.
Campo, Miramonte, and Acalanes football players were all fired up to make the best pizza.

This was a great example of a local business supporting our high schools!
The Bonfire team wanted everyone to know that if your Lamorinda High school student shows their student ID, you get free bread sticks!

Winners of Saturday's event got: $500 to the athletic booster program, team name on a plaque, and perhaps best of all-to have their pizza on the menu with the name they choose.
In a very close decision, Miramonte pulled off the win, with Campo and Acalanes finishing dead even for second place.
Patch's $500 dollars will be put to good use to help support the teams at Miramonte H.S.
Miramonte players told me they used all the meat choices they could in building the "MHS Special - Swag," the winning entry.
I tried all three team's pizzas afterward, and they were all outstanding.
It would be great to see local business and the Lamorinda Patch do more of these types of events to support our schools.
