Pulte Homes' vision of two new ball fields, a school district office and 73 detached homes and duplexes on an old Orinda Union School District site at 8 Altarinda Road has people in Orinda talking Thursday.
Here's your opportunity to vote on whether the "Orinda Grove" neighborhood is needed in the city or if the idea - ball fields and school district office notwithstanding - is a bad idea.
So far, comments on a company announcement detailing their plan to build homes on a 10-plus acre site where an old OUSD temporary office now stands have been uniformly negative.
But some residents may find value in the developer's plan to build two new 3.1 acre sports fields and a new 7,500-square-foot school district office adjacent to the site. We'll see.
We'll be doing more on the company's plans and the history behind bringing Orinda Grove to the community, but for now you may want to weigh in with an opinion on whether Orinda needs such a development in the first place.
