Moraga Rotary Club

Rotary International is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. In more than 200 countries worldwide, over 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 33,000 Rotary clubs.

Rotary club membership represents a cross-section of the community's business and professional men and women. The world's Rotary clubs meet weekly and are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds.

Moraga Rotary has been serving the community since 1967 and has long put education in our community at the top of it's list, through our annual contribution to the Brother U. Albert Rahill Moraga Rotary Endowed Scholarship Fund, currently valued in excess of $50,000 at St. Mary's College. Plus our ongoing financial support of the Moraga Education Fund, the beautiful dictionaries we provide to all third grade students in Moraga and Canyon each year, and the ongoing sponsorship of all Moraga Odyssey of the Mind teams, the Interact Club at Campolindo High School, and the new Rotaract Club at St. Mary's College.

As a result of the sweat equity that our members put into our annual fundraisers, we donate an average of $40,000 each year to charitable activities throughout the world. That's making dreams real for those that receive our prosthetic hands, and wheelchairs, and clean water, and shelter, giving them a new chance at a happier life with dignity. 

Our thanks is the smile on a child's face, the thank you from a parent, and the handshake or hug from someone in need with a tear in their eye who cannot believe total strangers will help them.
