California Bay Area Walk / Run for Food Allergies in Memory of BJ Hom

The FAAN Walk for Food Allergy in the California Bay Area is held in honor of BJ Hom, a young San Jose resident, who at the age of 18, tragically lost his life due to anaphylactic shock. BJ unknowingly ingested trace amounts of peanuts to which he was allergic. As many as 15 million Americans have food allergies, which can be life-threatening.

The Walk will raise necessary funds to help support FAAN's mission to raise public awareness, to provide much needed advocacy and education, and to advance research on behalf of all those affected by food allergies and anaphylaxis.
