Enjoy a tropical afternoon in the Admiral’s Garden! Mark your calendar for the Food Bank’s ELEVENTH ANNUAL FUNDRAISING EVENT on Sunday, June 26th!

Vallejo, CA – Let the magical sounds of steel drum music transport you to the islands as you enjoy A Tropical  Afternoon in the Admiral’s Garden benefitting the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano on Sunday June 26th..   

The festivities begin at noon with the opening of the Wine and Appetizer Tasting Tents and live music provided by Northern California’s premier steel drum band, Shabang.  At 1:30 a delicious tropical gourmet lunch prepared by Englund’s Catering will be served in the garden.  Dessert Tasting Tents open at 2:30 with a Cupcake War featuring local sugar artists, cake decorators, and pastry chefs:  Jan Loomis, Tracy Wirta, Mitchell Hughes and Marla Erojo. Celebrity judges will decide the winner! Also providing sweet treats are Frog Hollow Farm (organic fruit); Michael Dunn, Chef/Partner at Yankee Pier in Lafayette; and Trader Joe’s. Tours of the mansions, St. Peter’s Chapel and the Naval Museum are included in your registration fee. Lunchtime entertainment will be provided by the Singing Blue Stars of the USS Hornet (back by popular demand), performing music of the 40’s and 50’s. Mingle and chat with Survivor TV stars Yau-Man Chan, Sylvia Kwan, Sonja Christopher, Cecilia Mansilla, and other local media celebrities. And don’t forget to wear your favorite island outfit!   

The low reservation price of $75 per person or two for $140 includes all food, drink, entertainment and tours.  Bring extra cash, check or credit card if you wish to participate in auctions or games.
