Community Update

The Director Liz Kaufman has not displayed strength and competence as a leader during our time at Gan Ilan Preschool. She has proven to be inflexible and has not been willing to problem solve, instead yelling at parents and gossiping about them. She has not maintained objectivity when problem solving an issue brought forward by a parent or by members of the staff.
Liz is unable to interact with parents in a positive and meaningful way and did not supports parents with
parenting concerns through open discussions. At no time did she demonstrates a genuine
interest in parent or staff concerns. Liz has not demonstrated integrity by negatively discussing other students, parents and teachers such as when a student became " difficult and problematic" he was asked to leave the school and the matter was discussed inappropriately with various parents and staff. And in particular in a confusing and insensitive way to the fellow classmates of the student. This preschool has a very high turnover of teachers and perhaps this is a result of the Rabbi and director's lack of leadership. I would not recommend this preschool to any parent looking for a nurturing, professional, and fun play based learning environment for their child.
