The Results Are In! Stamp Out Hunger Provides 146,000 Meals to Neighbors in Need

The Results Are In: Stamp Out Hunger Collects more than 183,000 Pounds for the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano

On behalf of all the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano staff, member agencies, and recipients, I would like to thank all of you who participated in this year's Stamp Out Hunger food drive on May 12th. Our local post offices collected over 183,000 pounds collected of food which will provide 146,000 meals! Whether you were at your local post office volunteering or you left a bag full of food for your letter carrier, we applaud your participation in Stamp Out Hunger 2013.

A very special thank you is in order for all of the hard working letter carriers who volunteered time to pick up food during their routes and unload the trucks back at the branches. We would also like to thank the volunteers who helped unload the letter carrier’s trucks at each of the branches in Contra Costa and Solano counties. Without their help, none of this would be possible.
