From June 16th to June 20th, between noon and 1:30 PM, you are invited to bring along a brown bag lunch to enjoy a picnic and a relaxed hour of reading out loud. During this week-long reading event celebrating the beginning of summer vacation, Lynn De Jonghe, educator and garden member, will read this enchanting classic book by Frances Hodgson Burnett, which was originally published as a serial in magazines.
This event for all ages of young at heart will feature homemade cookies and afternoon sun tea.
We'll meet rain or shine at the Lafayette Community Garden on Mt Diablo Blvd across from the Lafayette Reservoir. A $5 donation per person to support our education programs is appreciated, but not required.
