Home (Town) Security with Majora Carter
Saint Mary's College presents a lecture by green infrastructrue advocate and urban renewal visionary Marjora Carter. By re-imagining America through the lens of what she calls, "Home(town) Security," Carter illuminates the value of smart environmental management on local economic development and all aspects of our civic and personal lives.
Carter’s lecture will address how we adapt to climate changes, manage storm water, redesign food systems, and reduce social costs, such as public health and incarceration infrastructure obligations can have profound effects on the well being of communities.
Carter walks the talk of green advocacy and urban community adoption of socio-economic solutions available in creating green infrastructures. Carter now consults clients around the world on how they can achieve their best performance in all areas and unleash the potential of the most valuable resources available — their people.
